WHO IS BEHIND INCOGNITA DESIGN?
Lead Designer: Sally McLean
Incognita Design’s Founder & Creative Director, Sally McLean began working as a designer when the internet was a boy and hand-coding was still a thing.
She is notable as being in the first wave of professional web designers and developers in Australia and being one of the few women working in the internet side of the tech industry in Australia during the late 1990s. She is globally recognised in this field, receiving several international awards for her design work and continues to design for a select group of clients, mostly fellow creatives.
Two-time winner of The Beehive Awards’ prestigious Golden Hive Award for web design (founded by Míc Miller) for her site designs for the Gyuto Monks of Tibet and Salmac Productions, alongside fellow alumni such as NORAD’s Official Tracks Santa and official Fleetwood Mac websites, her most recent design accolade was winning “Best Poster” at the 2022 Apulia Web Fest in Italy for her poster design for digital series, Walking Shadows Vol. 2.
She is also a globally award-winning actor and filmmaker with over 25 years experience in the biz as an actor, writer, director and editor. She is a member of MEAA, the Australian Writers’ Guild, the Australian Directors’ Guild and a member of AACTA (Actor, Writer & Director Chapters).
